She does a lot of this...
And a little bit of this...
The transition to a toddler bed hasn't been nearly as bad as I expected. The first night it took a while for her to fall asleep and she came into our room at 4:45 because she "bonked her head" by falling out of the bed. The second night she went to sleep quickly and came in at 7:00 in the morning saying that she woke up "under" her crib. When I asked her to show me where she woke up, she went and laid on the floor next to her crib (across the room from the bed) - I'm not sure exactly when she fell out of bed and rolled across the floor, but apparently she slept through it this time. In the week and a half since then she has been doing well, other than waking up at 5:30 or so for the past four mornings...I'm not sure if that's due to the bed, or something else, but either way I'm hoping it changes! This is one of the big milestones of the toddler years, and an important one considering we'll have another baby in the house in three months! Time is definitely going by too fast, and every day I am amazed by the things that Brooklyn can do. Sometimes I can't believe that she has only been with us for two years, and other times I sit back and wonder where on earth she came from. All I know is that I'm a pretty lucky girl, and we can't wait to go through all the changes and milestones again with baby #2.
